Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;
Therefore, we are saved by faith.
Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.
Therefore, we are saved by love.
No virtuous act is quite a virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;
Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.

--------------------------------------------------------------
To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

The true call of a Christian is not to do extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.

Christianity, with its doctrine of humility, of forgiveness, of love, is incompatible with the State, with its haughtiness, its violence, its punishment, its wars.

I'm Catholic... but I HATE organized religion.... I believe in god, i have faith in god... but organized religion (ESPECIALLY mine) just gets so repetative and annoying... everyone wants to save you from hell and convert you...

I guess if you consider it, there are good and evil forces in the world. I believe in an powerful evil force as well as a powerful good force. I also know that humans arent perfect, therefore we need to tap into the good force(God in this case), and try to avoid the evil force(Satan). People can be deluded in religion and its not all about methods and procedures. I hope you dont take offense to this, but I think one of the major downfalls of the staunch catholic church is its complete immersion into procedures. I know God isnt a static procedure, he insnt an equation we can solve by doing these things just so. I believe in heaven, but I am not so naive as to forget theres a place for the evil of the world too and Its my duty to make sure I dont fall in and its my duty to try and tell others about it so that they can make the decision to believe or not for themselves. Its a comfortable stance to be vague and uncaring. My life would be so much easier if I took a common stance and said, "I dont care about where the people around me might end up." But with what I believe(and maybe what we believe) I cant just stand by and never say anything. I can offer but I cant force. But i must offer. Its like offering a friend a dish at a party even though you know he doesnt like that food or hasnt developed a taste for it. It can never hurt and if he decides one day to try it, then glory to God. But its still their choice. And everyone needs to find themselves. Nobody is born a christian. NO one.
The personal conviction is something thats hard to explain. But one day, if you ever pursue God, even if you're not so specific to pursue a certain God, He will know you are searching and he will provide the answers. Its like a treasure hunt, I guess. You've never seen the treasure, the treasure might very well be a myth, but when you find it its so amazing and more than you ever expected.
I guess, Im done with my essay.
But Im a Jesus Freak, and thats something I cant stop being. :D
Hehe.

lol why would i take offense?! I HATE my church...services on sundays are creepy... its like a cult because they all chant like REALLY long prayers... and we got some REALLY wierd people that are so obsessed with serving god and their religion, that they forget to like take a step back and really LIVE... why would god make us to just run around being perfect? We're humans and we should make mistakes... i dunno... i more believe in the whole good force/bad force thing too... and yea i dont so much like my church.... In confirmation class (ugghhh i dont even WANT to be confirmed) we recieved a list of sins... and there were the wierdest things on there... according to this paper we aren't even alloud to KISS before mairrage!!! O_O... well yea homework.. but later gator! :D

Just me expressing something. Im really sick of people looking down on me for having faith in god. Its like being an agnostic or an atheist is just better and Im a deluded fool. I refuse to go down to their level and say "stfu!!!" so Im just going to ignore it and post some small things about why I am who I am.

Oh, this isnt about you, if you're wondering.
